Live Music Wheel

We’ve seen this video of the Live Music Wheel all over Facebook lately, and were awed by the creativity involved in it. But really, if you think about it, this is a perfect metaphor for the music industry today. Seems like it isn’t enough just to make good music anymore. Now you have to have your very own dog and pony show to entertain a public with the attention span of an ADHD hamster. People are like, “Why does so much music suck now?”, and then a minute later it’s, “Oh, cool. A new Katy Perry song!” Well… here’s your metaphor.

In the video, musicians perform inside a four-meter-high metal wheel as part of Chile’s 21st annual international street festival.
